The Onagi Comrades Alliance (OCA) is a vibrant organization dedicated to empowering the Luo people and preserving their rich cultural identity. Since its inception, OCA has remained committed to fostering unity, camaraderie, and shared purpose among the Luo community. Guided by core values of unity, charity, advocacy, and self-improvement, the organization drives progress, aiming to build a prosperous and culturally vibrant future for the Luo people. OCA’s mission is to cultivate a thriving and united Luo community by promoting cultural pride, equipping individuals with knowledge and leadership skills, and advocating for social, economic, and political advancement. Its initiatives empower individuals while fostering collective progress, ensuring every member of the community contributes to and benefits from a shared vision of prosperity. This mission is grounded in a powerful vision: a world where the Luo people flourish as a unified community, interwoven with cultural heritage, social equity, and economic prosperity. 1. Unity and Cultural Promotion

Onyango Tony Blair is a passionate student leader pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Kenya. He is dedicated to advocating for the socioeconomic and political empowerment of the Luo youth. Tony combines his academic background, leadership skills, and commitment to community development to inspire and drive positive change within the OCA and beyond.

Shamsiah Natasha is a dedicated student at Kenyatta University, pursuing a degree in Telecommunication Engineering. Hailing from Kisumu County, specifically Nyando Subcounty in Ahero Ward, she exemplifies a strong commitment to her community and its development. As the Vice Chair of the Onagi Comrades Alliance (OCA), Shamsiah plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s direction and strategy. She is passionate about leveraging her expertise and leadership skills to advocate for youth empowerment and community advancement.

Secretary General

Hannington Oguk is a distinguished leader and former President of Meru University. He made a significant impact during his tenure, playing an instrumental role in the reinstatement of Vice-Chancellor Professor Romanus Odhiambo and the return of Diana Chepkemoi, a Kenyan girl who had been enslaved in Saudi Arabia, in 2022. Hannington pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Security and Forensics, excelling as an all-round student in leadership, sports, and academics. In his role as the Secretary General at OCA, he is responsible for providing strategic direction, overseeing operations, and ensuring effective communication within the alliance to advance its mission and goals.

Lydia Onyango is a diligent student at the University of Nairobi, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. A proud native of Kisumu County, Lydia embodies a commitment to excellence and a deep sense of responsibility toward her community. 

As the Treasurer of OCA, Lydia plays a pivotal role in ensuring the organization's financial stability and transparency. 

Beyond her financial stewardship, Lydia is passionate about empowering the youth and fostering unity within the Luo community. 

Lydia’s unwavering dedication and leadership continue to inspire her peers and contribute meaningfully to the success of the Onagi Comrades Alliance.

Asha Obuola is a visionary youth leader from Central Nyakach Ward, Nyakach Sub County, Kisumu County. Asha is passionate about community empowerment, environmental conservation, and creating meaningful change, He strives to inspire and uplift future generations. As Chairperson of the Nyakach Environmental Group, he leads efforts in environmental conservation, climate action, and youth empowerment. His work focuses on mobilizing resources, protecting natural ecosystems, and equipping young people with the skills for sustainable living. Beyond activism. He is a seasoned professional in communication, a digital and political strategist, and an expert in security management and consultancy. As the Communication Director at OCA, Asha, driving strategic initiatives that foster unity and amplifies collective goals. His mission remains to inspire progress, empower communities, and build a sustainable future for all.

Born in Saye Konyango Village, Central Kasipul Ward, Kasipul Subcounty, Homabay County, Evance Ouma is a passionate youth leader and environmentalist dedicated to empowering young people and driving sustainable community development. A graduate of the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production and Sociology, he combines creativity, advocacy, and leadership to champion impactful change. As the Organizing Secretary of OCA, he plays a key role in coordinating activities, fostering collaboration among members, and ensuring the effective execution of the organization’s initiatives. His initiatives often aim to empower the youth by providing them with the skills and opportunities necessary to drive change and contribute to the betterment of their communities.

Chadwick Griffine is a passionate student at the Nairobi Technical Training Institute (NTTI), where he is currently pursuing a course in Electrical Engineering. A native of Kisumu County, hailing from Seme Subcounty, Chadwick is deeply invested in his community's growth, progress, and well-being. As the Head of TVETs in the Onagi Comrades Alliance (OCA), Chadwick plays a vital, and proactive role in promoting technical and vocational training as an essential pathway to job creation, and economic empowerment. His dedication to skill-building, innovation, and leadership positions him as a key advocate for empowering the Luo youth through practical and technical expertise, helping them unlock valuable opportunities for success, career advancement, and improving their livelihoods and quality of life.

Lisa inviolanta Wanyande is a passionate youth advocate and the recipient of the Humanitarian Personality of the Year award (2023). Hailing from Ugenya West, Siaya County, she is known for her versatility as a "polymath," drawing inspiration from Nelson Mandela. Lisa advocates for youth empowerment, social and human rights, mental health, and education. She serves as the Head of Public Relations at Onagi Comrades Alliance, where she drives communication and impactful initiatives. Additionally, she is the Chairperson of the Youth African Symposium Forum (YASF) and advocates for children's education through Theirworld Global Youths Association. Her dedication and vision continue to inspire transformative change, making her a beacon of hope for many.

Dr. Raymond Ojwang' Omollo

Dr. Raymond Omollo is a distinguished public servant, scholar, and the esteemed Patron of the Onagi Comrades Alliance (OCA).

Currently serving as the Principal Secretary in the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration, Dr. Omollo plays a pivotal role in shaping Kenya’s policies on governance, security, and development.

With an academic background that includes a PhD in Applied Statistics from Maseno University, and a professional career spanning leadership roles such as the Managing Director of the Lake Basin Development Authority, Dr. Omollo brings a wealth of expertise and experience to his endeavors.

As the Patron of OCA, he is committed to empowering the Luo community, advocating for socioeconomic advancement, and fostering a culture of unity and leadership. His guidance and vision continue to inspire OCA’s mission of creating a thriving, culturally vibrant, and prosperous Luo community.
